Sri Lankan Navy Again Attacks Indian Fishermen: Indian Govt Ignores

At the present day the occurrence emanates after the Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa officially held the Honorable PM Manmohan Singh in her report, by accusing the administration for “soft handling” the matter of the S L Navy’s supposed attacks on fishermen.

She said that the “soft handling” of the matter by the Government had encouraged the S L Navy to impose violence and hassle the poor fishermen with immunity. She has requested the government to confirm that the S L navy abstains from doing anything like this in future. DMK C M Karunanidhi had similarly criticized the frequent occurrences of violence on the poor T N fishermen.

Our Government is sitting dumb folded on this issue pretending as if nothing has happened. The voices of the poor fishermen are going unheard. As when the states CM seem to be awakened on the issue the central administration seems to be sleeping.
